Thank you to Aria publishing for sending me a physical copy to read and review. Thank you to Random Things Tours for adding me to the Blog Tour. Please see below for the other bloggers and tour dates.
For non-blog tours I don’t like to give too much away and I don’t show blurbs all the back of the book for a blog tour I feel my duty to share us please scroll on this next bit if you prefer to not read the blurb.
As a Neurodivergent reader, my reviews start off with sensory aspects. The cover first, DIVA is a gold and glossy one. The title is in white capital letters and embossed. There is our Diva to the left in mono tone cut out except her bright red lipstick.
Down the right of the cover is multiple quotes recommending DIVA. The back cover is black with gold glitter images, there is quite a chunk of blurb along with a couple more recommendations. The spine matched the front, in gold with the title in white embossed capitals. The pages are soft with quite a bit of text per page.
I knew very little of the character DIVA is based upon and I appreciate there will be some dramatic licence along with the author’s imagination. Books like this do leave me rather unsure as to what is truth and what is fiction.
I found DIVA an interesting read. DIVA gave me an insight to an industry I am not really into at all. Basically this is the story of **SPOILER ALERT** Maria Callas, who was the ultimate diva.
I do not believe there could be a more fitting title. I found the book well written, an attractive cover and an overall interesting read. After reading DIVA it left me wondering and leading me to do some research on Maria Callas and the other characters. I love a book that does that.
DIVA is out now and I feel this would make a wonderful gift for the winter.
