I’m not really sure what to make of this unusual little book. This is another title that the size shape and title intrigued me, I also I like to read books on awards’ long and short lists.
This is a short book that sadly I felt like didn’t really get anything from, perhaps I just wasn’t the intended reader for this one. Maybe I will try the audible and see if I feel differently.
I like the uniqueness of this one which is why I think I will attempt it on audio and possibly give the hard copy another read.
This is not something I usually do as I have so many to read on my to be read bookcases. I have to concede and say that I think I must have missed where the narrative was going on this one.
My thoughts are that Cursed Bread was possibly a depressed lonely person analysing the complexities of relationships, especially marriage from the females perspective.
I’m not sure if this is a mental health themed narrative or if I am just reading too much into it. I wanted to like, enjoy and understand this one but unfortunately I just didn’t and not really sure what I just read.
Please do let me know your thoughts on this one.
